Bedford Man Accused Of Speeding, Driving Without License

Police said the man was speeding and didn't use a turn signal.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Bedford man was accused of driving without a license. Yorktown police charged Nolan Witz, 19, of Bedford, with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, and fail to use turn signal and imprudent speed, traffic infractions.

Police said, shortly after 9 pm. Wednesday, an officer on routine patrol on Downing Drive said he saw a vehicle traveling at an unsafe speed and not using a turn signal.

A traffic stop was conducted and Witz was identified as the driver, police said.

A check of his license found he was driving a car while his privilege to do so was suspended.

Witz was arrested and taken to the police department for processing.

He was issued traffic tickets and released on his own recognizance.

Witz is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Feb. 4.
