BJ's Wholesale Club To Hold Statewide Hiring Events

The day-long event is aiming to fill more than 400 job openings throughout the state.

NEW YORK — BJ's Wholesale Club is looking for new employees. To that end, the company will hold hiring events at all New York stores.

According to a news release, BJ's is seeking to fill 454 openings for various positions.

The day-long event will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 15.

The wholesale club is offering a $500 sign-on bonus and a $500 referral bonus for employees who are in good standing for 90 days.

  • Cashiers
  • Member Experience (Membership Desk, OMNI)
  • Fresh Clerks (Bakery, Deli, Meat, Produce)
  • Maintenance/Carts
  • Stock and Recovery Clerks
  • Forklift Drivers
  • Meat Cutters/Butchers
  • Service Team Members (Gas, Tire Bay)

The company said it offers a competitive rate and benefits package and great training opportunities.

Masks will be required at the hiring event, which will be held in an outdoor tent at each club, where space is available.

Organizers said, if there is a large turnout, cell phone numbers will be taken at check-in and a text will be sent when an interviewer is available.

Locations in New York include Deer Park, East Setauket, Garden City, Levittown, Monroe, Newburgh, Pelham Manor, Riverhead, Valley Stream, Wappingers Falls, West Nyack, Westbury and Yorktown Heights.
