Brooklyn Man Accused Of Striking Woman In The Face

A judge issued a temporary order of protection on behalf of the victim.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Brooklyn man was arrested after being accused of hitting a woman in her face.

The Yorktown Police Department said, on April 24, a woman came into headquarters to file a domestic incident report that concerned an assault.

An investigation found that Leroy Jamison, 48, of Brooklyn, struck the woman in the face April 20, according to authorities.

On Friday, Yorktown officers went to the New Rochelle Parole Office and arrested him.

Jamison was charged with third-degree assault, police said.

He was arraigned in court, and a judge issued a temporary order of protection on behalf of the victim.

Jamison was held on $500 bail or $1,000 bond on an unrelated state parole warrant and turned over to the Westchester County Department of Corrections.

He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court May 25.
