Cops: Man Attempts to Sell Home Repair Service With No Permit

A 34-year-old New York City man is due in Yorktown Town Court next month to answer charges that he was attempting to sell windows and home repair service without a valid solicitor's permit from the town, police said. 

Police received a complaint about the man going door-to-door in the town of Yorktown on Jan. 13. 

The man was charged with peddling without a permit, a violation. 

He was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Feb. 11.
