Cops: Mohegan Lake Teen in Possession of Burglary Proceeds

A 16-year-old Mohegan Lake teen is due in court on Jan. 9 to answer charges that he was in possession of items stolen from a Cortlandt home, state police said. 

The teen was arrested on Jan. 6 after he was located in Putnam Valley with "burglary proceeds from a residential burglary" which occurred in the town of Cortlandt, police said in a statement. 

He was currently incarcerated on unrelated charges and will be arraigned on the new charge at his next scheduled court appearance on Jan. 9 in Putnam Valley Town Court.
