Dutchess Man Accused Of Drunken Driving In Yorktown
Police said they received a report of a car being erratically driven.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Dutchess County resident was accused of drunken driving after a report of a car being operated erratically.
Yorktown police said, around 6:20 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the erratic driver report and found a car matching the description.
After stopping the car for a non-working headlight, police said, Joseph Pezzullo, 65, of Hopewell Junction, was identified as the driver.

Police said the man was intoxicated and he was arrested.
At the Yorktown Police Department, it was found that Pezzullo was driving his car with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher, police said.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated, first offense, and driving while intoxicated with BAC of 0.08 of 1 percent or more, misdemeanors, and no/inoperable headlight, a traffic infraction.
Pezzullo was issued traffic tickets and released on his own recognizance to the care of a responsible adult.
He is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Dec. 10.
