A lifelong New York Yankees fan, Chiaverini spent many a happy hour recounting stories about his youthful attendance to games in the Old Yankee Stadium, and the Yankee greats of yesteryear whom he watched play. He loved posing sports trivia questions to any and all, based on his vast knowledge of baseball in general, and the Yankees in particular. He also had a passion for classic movies, and could list off title and cast for hundreds of the famous motion pictures.
