Fire Destroys Yorktown Heights Home [WATCH]

The Yorktown Volunteer Fire Department posted a helmet cam video showing just how quickly the fire spread.

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, NY — Firefighters from the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department fought a blaze Tuesday evening at a two-and-a-half-story home on Lavoie Court.

Along with Yorktown Heights, personnel from the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department and the Bedford Hills Fire Department responded to the scene.

They initially encountered a large volume of fire on the first and second floors as well as the roof.

Firefighting crews said they found hoarding conditions in the home.

There were no reported injuries, officials said.

The fire is under investigation by the Westchester County Cause and Origin Team.
