Kennedy Junior Melikian Captures Westchester County Title
He scored a decisive victory over the Harrison wrestler in the final.
Kennedy Catholic junior Alex Melikian, a Mohegan Lake resident, won the 182-pound title at the Westchester County Championships at Yonkers High School on Sunday, Jan. 25.
Melikian scored a 13-3 majority decision victory over Harrison’s Dom Schepis in the final.
Kyle Davis placed fifth at 145 pounds with a pin of Sleepy Hollow’s Kevin Borden at 2:19. Eddie Longest was sixth at 220 pounds.
