Looking for Something to Do in the Yorktown-Somers Area?

Here are some events on tap for the weekend.

The weather will be clear but chilly for this Saturday and Sunday. The very last of the fall leaves should still be hanging on at least a few branches. It is a good weekend for church fairs and theater. Enjoy the weekend with some of these activities:

Peter and the Starcatcher: The Spring Street Arts Center at St John’s in South Salem will present an Infinity Repertory Theatre Company production of the Broadway hit “Peter and the Starcatcher” at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Performances will also be held on Nov. 18th and 19th at 8:00 p.m., The play is a wildly theatrical adaptation of Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson’s best-selling novels and is a continuation of the story of Peter Pan. From marauding pirates and jungle tyrants to unwilling comrades and unlikely heroes, Peter and the Starcatcher playfully explores the depths of greed and despair, and the bonds of friendship, duty and love. For reservations and tickets click here. For further information, call St. John’s at 914-763-8273 or email at stjohnsch@cloud9.net. The church is at 82 Spring Street in South Salem.

Holiday Craft Show: The Hudson Crafts Collective will present its annual show of quality handcrafted items on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. This year's offerings will include jewelry; fiber art including hand felting; handcrafted fabric bags and accessories; Japanese paper art, and handmade dolls by local artisans. The show will be at Umami Café, 325 St. Riverside Avenue in Croton-on-Hudson.
