Mahopac Man Steals 4 Wrenches from Yorktown Store

A 33-year-old Mahopac man is due in Yorktown Town Court later this month to answer charges that he stole four wrenches from a Yorktown store, police said. 

The Dec. 28 arrest stems from a Nov. 23 incident at Sears where police said the man concealed four Craftsman wrenches in his pockets and exited the store without paying for the items, which were valued at $55.96. 

The man was charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. He was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Jan. 28.
