Mohegan Woman Charged with Theft from her Employer
HIggins stole more than half a million from the dentist for whom she worked.

A Mohegan Lake woman has been charged with second-degree larceny for stealing from the White Plains dentist she worked for. Cheryl Higgins was charged for stealing more than $500,000 between 2007 and 2015, according to the Journal News.
Higgins used the credit card accounts of David Sandak of Advanced Periodontics and Implant Dentistry of Westchester to open more business credit card accounts for her own personal use.

The court set her bail at $100,000. She is due in court on Aug. 18 and could face up to 15 years in prison, according to the Journal News.
