Fatal Motorcycle-Car Crash In Yorktown
The incident happened around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday on Route 202.
YORKTOWN, NY — A South Salem man was killed in a motorcycle accident Tuesday in Yorktown.
The Yorktown Police Department said Austin Canady, 24, of South Salem, was driving a 2019 Harley Davidson motorcycle south on Route 202 around 7:40 a.m. when he collided with a 2019 Honda Pilot driven by a 34-year-old Yorktown Heights resident who was coming off of Yorkhill Road onto Route 202.
Canady was taken by ambulance to the Westchester County Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.

The accident scene was cleared and the road reopened around 12:15 p.m.
Authorities said the accident is being investigated by the Town of Yorktown Police Department Accident Investigation Unit, with the assistance of the Westchester County Department of Public Safety Accident Investigation Unit.
