NJ Woman Accused Of Driving Stolen Car
The woman was stopped after running a stop sign, police said.
YORKTOWN, NY — A New Jersey woman was accused of driving a car that had been stolen in New York City.
The Yorktown Police Department said Brandi L. Wright, 30, of Sweetwater, New Jersey, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony, as well as traffic infractions, including fail to stop at a stop sign.
Police said, around 11 a.m. Saturday, an officer on patrol was advised of a possible stolen vehicle going east on Route 6 near the Taconic State Parkway.

The officer located the vehicle matching the description on Lee Boulevard that, he said, failed to stop at a stop sign and didn't stay in the proper lane.
With the assistance of other Yorktown officers, the 2010 Honda CRV was stopped on East Main Street.

Wright was identified as the driver, and the car was found to have been stolen from New York City.
She was arrested and released on her own recognizance.
Wright is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court July 15.
