NYC Man Accused Of Stealing Tesla

The Bronx resident was arrested on the Taconic State Parkway, police said.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Bronx man was accused of stealing a Tesla while driving on the Taconic State Parkway.

The Yorktown Police Department said, around 10:15 a.m. Monday, an officer on patrol was told about a possible stolen vehicle going north on the parkway.

A traffic stop of the car was initiated in the vicinity of Route 132.

Alexander Parker, 50, of the Bronx, was identified as the driver, police said.

The investigation found that he was in possession of a 2016 Tesla that had been reported stolen in New York City.

Parker was arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.

He was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony, and released on his own recognizance.

Parker is next scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court April 1.
