Pet Valu Closing All Stores, Including In NY
The shutdown of the pet supply chain was due to the coronavirus-related restrictions.

NEW YORK — Pet Valu, a retailer of pet food and supplies, will close its 358 stores and warehouses in the United States.
The chain has 14 stores in the Hudson Valley and on Long Island.
Jamie Gould, Pet Valu's chief restructuring officer, said the shutdown was due to the "protracted COVID-19-related restrictions."

It also said online shopping was no longer available, but dog washing and grooming services will be available during the store closing sale. Adoption services are no longer available at the stores.
Pet Points Plus Members will accrue points toward awards and receive 5 percent case discounts through Nov. 21. The company said any awards on customer accounts or gift cards must be used before the stores close, adding that customers are encouraged to use them by Dec. 13.
