LINCOLNDALE, NY — A positive case of the new coronavirus was found at Primrose Elementary School. As a result, the school will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

In a letter to the district's families, Superintendent Dr. Raymond Blanch said the district has worked with the Westchester County Department of Health to identify any students who may have been exposed.

They must quarantine for 14 days from the last exposure date and should be tested for the virus five days after their last exposure.

Last week, Somers High School was closed because of a person who tested positive for the virus.

The school was scheduled to reopen Tuesday, but due to staffing challenges from quarantining teachers and other unrelated absences, all high school students participated in eLearning Tuesday, according to a post on Facebook. Staff who were not quarantining reported to the high school building.
