Robert K. McCabe Of Amawalk Dies At 75
He is a retired New York Police Department sergeant.

AMAWALK, NY — Robert K. McCabe of Amawalk, former resident of the Bronx, died Sept. 10, 2018. He was 75 years old. He is a retired New York Police Department sergeant who served 23 years with the department and is also the retired head of security at Woodlawn Cemetery.
McCabe was born in New York City Jan. 25, 1943, to James and Mary McCabe. He graduated from Mount Saint Michael’s High School.
In 1964, he married Thelma O’Connell in the Bronx.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Thelma, his sons Michael and Robert. Jr., his two grandsons Michael, Jr. and Luke, as well as his nieces Tracy and Donna. He was predeceased by his brother James.
Calling hours are from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday. The Mass of Christian Burial is at 10 a.m. Saturday at New Saint Patrick’s Church in Yorktown Heights, followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx.
