Shrub Oak Man Damages Car Window, Tail Light: Police
According to authorities, the damage amounted to $1,000.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Shrub Oak man is facing a felony charge after being accused of intentionally damaging a car.
The Yorktown Police Department said Elias Jallath, 19, of Shrub Oak, was charged Thursday with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony.
Police said, around midnight Sunday, officers responded to the pool parking lot of Canterbury Crossing on Westminster Road for a past occurrence of possible criminal activity.

An investigation found that Jallath intentionally damaged the window and tail light of a car by smashing it with a wooden stick, police said.
According to authorities, the damage amounted to $1,000.

Jallath was arrested Thursday and taken to the police department for processing.
He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court March 18.
