Snow Showers Expected Overnight In Hudson Valley
A coastal flood advisory is also in effect, the National Weather Service said.

LOWER HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Areas of snow showers are expected in the lower Hudson Valley Tuesday night.
The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties that said snow has begun sticking to roadways especially in areas that have temperatures at or below freezing.
Some light snow accumulations of up to 1 inch are possible.

Also, temperatures dropping to freezing or below will also be resulting in refreezing of any snowmelt and freezing of any residual moisture.
Untreated surfaces will become icy and slippery, and people going outdoors and driving Tuesday night should proceed with extra caution.

There is also a coastal flood advisory in effect from midnight Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday for southern Westchester County.
Up to 1 foot of inundation above ground level is expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline.
Some roads and low-lying properties including parking lots, parks, lawns and homes and businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience minor flooding.
The weather service said that, if travel is required, extra time should be allowed because some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth.
