Spring Snow Arriving: Hour-by-hour Forecast for Somers, Yorktown
We tell you when to expect the frozen precipitation.

A light snow is forecast to overspread the lower Hudson Valley Sunday afternoon into Monday.
While the National Weather Service has continued to post a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties, it is calling the coming storm a “light snowfall event” for our area.
No more than 2 inches is expected. Long Island and points toward the northeast will likely see more.

AccuWeather Meteorologist Brian Thompson said the recent warmth will make it difficult for the snow to build up on road surfaces during the daylight hours.
“Snow will have a hard time sticking to roadways, especially during the daylight hours when temperatures will be above freezing,” he said.

The bulk of the snow is predicted to fall overnight. The NWS forecasts 0.6 inches will have fallen by 2AM and 0.9 inches more will have fallen before 11AM when the storm has blown through.
Here is the storm breakdown for northern Westchester County:
- 8PM: 33 degrees, wind 6mph, chance of snow 40 percent
- 11PM: 31 degrees, wind 6mph, chance of snow 52 percent
- 5AM: 28 degrees, wind 7mph, chance of snow 54 percent
- 11AM: 36 degrees, wind 10mph, chance of snow 5 percent
