If you do suspect your copper wire was stolen, contact the state police at 914-769-2600.
New York State police are concerned about recent thefts of copper wire in northern Westchester County.
The public is urged to check areas that may not have been checked due to recent events such as Tropical Storm Isaias. In particular, businesses that have storage containers with locks and sheds that contain copper wire should check them.
In addition if you notice a lock has been broken or see other evidence of a crime contact the state police and do not touch the lock or damaged door/area.
