Sleepy Hollow is truly becoming the epicenter of Halloween. And it doesn't hurt that the nation is now rabidly watching the hit Fox series Sleepy Hollow.
There's so much to do in Sleepy Hollow, and adjacent Tarrytown, this weekend it'll make your head pop off. But isn't that what the Legend of Sleepy Hollow is all about?
(You are guaranteed to see the Headless Horseman somewhere along your journey, by the way -- as he's just as busy as the rest of us this weekend. They say he'll be at the Old Dutch Church burying grounds by day and the Sleepy Hollow Block Party by night. Just a tip.)
Here's a giant rundown of all you'll need to know before you pack up the car, the costumed kids, and go.Â
Driving Down Route 9?
A helpful reminder from our Cemetery's Jim Logan:ÂThe 4th weekend in October is the most congested of the season. The effect of event traffic on local roads will be compounded by the closing of Route 9 Saturday evening for the village of Tarrytown's Halloween parade. Advise event guests to allow extra travel time.
Will There Be a Freak Snowstorm?Â
No! The weather is looking perfect this year for an amazing holiday weekend. But it is suddenly get pretty cold, according to the National Weather Service, so make sure those costumes are cozy!Â
And here's the many, many places you'll go:
