Town Of Somers To Hold Blood Drive

SOMERS, NY — Blood donations are needed in the town of Somers, and to that end, a blood drive will take place Tuesday.

The event will be held at the Somers Town House (Elephant Hotel) Meeting Room from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

To remain in compliance with the federal guidelines for social distancing, appointments are preferred. Walk-ins will be welcome if capacity permits.

Donors should eat, hydrate and bring their donor ID card or ID with their name and photo.

Officials said that donors will be required to wear a mask or face covering and temperatures will be taken.

If you have recovered from the coronavirus, you must be 14 days symptom-free. You may not donate blood if you have had a positive diagnostic test or experienced symptoms of coronavirus in the last 14 days.

The Somers Town House is at 335 Route 202 in Somers.
