What's Open, Closed Memorial Day 2021 In Yorktown, Somers
The national holiday means a long weekend for some. How will you be spending it in Yorktown or Somers?
YORKTOWN, NY — Monday, May 31 is Memorial Day. In observance of the holiday, most federal, state and local government offices are closed.
There will be no mail delivery. Many businesses are open but with different hours — so it's not a bad idea to check before heading out.
The Somers Memorial Day 2021 Commemoration Ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. It will be at the Veterans Memorial in Ivandell Cemetery, rain or shine. Veterans Memorial will be restricted to ceremony participants only, due to coronavirus regulations. Viewers may stand outside the cemetery stone wall on the shoulder of the road.
