Woman Steals Hat, Scarf and Glove Set from Sears

A 44-year-old Mahopac woman is due in Yorktown court next month to answer charges that she stole a hat, scarf and glove set from Sears, police said. 

The woman was arrested on Nov. 14 after she exited the store with the items valued at $36, police said. Sears security personnel reported to police that the shoplifter was in custody at about 3:46 p.m. 

She was charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. 

The woman was processed at police headquarters, released on $100 bail and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Dec. 12.
