How did you come up with the name?

This was such a struggle for me, but one night I stumbled upon the phrase “Love Struck” and it just stayed with me & I knew that was our name!

Briefly, what business are you in?

At Love Struck, I handmake every item. Everything we create & sell is customized to make it a special experience for our customers. I love getting to know them & working with them to create something special.

Were there any challenges that made you second-guess your decision to be an entrepreneur?

It gets hard, Love Struck is not my primary job. So some days it is a struggle to balance everything & really give Love Struck the time and dedication it deserves.

What’s been your favorite moment or proudest achievement since opening?

I always love when I get a message or email from a customer who I have finished working with and are still in love with their items. It really makes what I do worth it knowing I can make something so special for somebody!

How do you deal with difficult customers?

Always doing it with a smile! And taking a minute to breathe, collect my thoughts before I respond during a consult. Never be rude & try to figure out the best solution.

How does your business give back or get involved in the community?

We are very active in our Relay for Life of Yorktown! With every single purchase made, no matter how big or small, we always donate a portion back to Relay. We have our own team, we promote the event, share valuable information about cancer research & the incredible programs the American Cancer Society has for cancer patients & their caregivers. It’s a cause that is near & dear to us and we work endlessly to fundraise and participate!
