A 23-year-old Peekskill woman is facing a criminal charge in Yorktown after police found her in possession of marijuana, police said.
The woman was stopped for speeding on Underhill Avenue and following a routine traffic stop she was found in possession of the drug, police said. The woman was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor.Â
She was transported to police headquarters for processing and released to a friend.
The woman was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Nov. 19.
