Yorktown Heights' Vincent Licenziato Dies At 97
Licenziato was the owner of Specialty Food Products.

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, NY — Vincent Licenziato, 97, of Yorktown Heights, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2017, at his home. Vincent was born in New York City, grew up in Naples, Italy, and moved to Mount Kisco at age 13 where he met his wife, Josephine. They shared a loving home in Amawalk where they raised their four children. They retired to Yorktown Heights.
Vincent had a love of his country which was surpassed by none. A member of the greatest generation, he served in the 926th Signal Battalion in the US Army during WWII. In 2016 he received the French Legion of Honor for his efforts in the defense of France.
Vincent was a member of the American Legion Post 136 of Mount Kisco and a charter member of the Yorktown Elks Club.

Vincent was the owner of Specialty Food Products that served the needs of local restaurants and grocery stores for many years until he retired in 1988. In 1992, he took on another job with Mahopac National Bank. He decided to retire AGAIN in 2007.
Vincent was Uncle Vinny to many and Vinny Cheese to others and could always be found talking with the produce guy or deli manager in local grocery stores.

Vincent is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Josephine Licenziato, his son, Vincent, his three daughters Carol Licenziato, Peggy Cremonese, JoAnn (Mark) Johnson, his granddaughter Cynthia (Anthony) Lopez and great granddaughter Alexa.
The Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, July 20 at St Patrick's Church in Yorktown Heights. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association.
