Yorktown To Hold Memorial Day Parade In 2021
The event will be scaled back, but organizers thought it was important for the community to have it.
YORKTOWN, NY — The town of Yorktown will have a Memorial Day parade this year thanks to coronavirus restrictions being eased.
Supervisor Matt Slater made the announcement Thursday morning in front of the American Legion Post #1009 in Yorktown.
"As the restrictions have continued to be rolled back by our partners at the federal and state level and also here locally in Yorktown," he said during the news conference, "we thought it was a safe event and another important step forward."
