Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 48-year-old Brooklyn man, who is charged with Assault 3rd Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor. According to police, on April 24, 2021, Yorktown Police received a walk-in report of a domestic incident in which an assault is alleged to have occurred. Officer Uhl was assigned to investigate. Following the investigation, it is alleged that on April 20, 2021, the defendant caused a physical injury to a female victim by striking her in the face. On May 7, 2021 PO Uhl was notified that the defendant was currently in New Rochelle at the New Rochelle Parole Office. PO Uhl and PO Mullen responded to the Parole Office and placed the defendant under arrest on the Assault charge. After processing, the defendant was arraigned by the Honorable Gary Raniolo. A Temporary Order of Protection was issued on behalf of the victim. The defendant was held on $500 cash bail on an unrelated NYS Parole Warrant, and subsequently remanded to the Westchester County Department of Corrections. The defendant in scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on May 25, 2021 at 6:00 pm.
