Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 64 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Grand Larceny 4th Degree, a Class “E” Felony. On March 24, 2021 at 6:35 pm, Yorktown Police received a report of a stolen wallet that had been left in a shopping cart at Lowe’s.  The victim told the responding officer that a purchase had just been made at another location using a credit card that was inside the stolen wallet.  Following an investigation, a suspect was identified as the defendant and it is alleged that the defendant located the wallet in a shopping cart at Lowe's and unlawfully used the victim's credit card at another location.  On May 17, 2021 the defendant voluntarily surrendered at Yorktown Police Headquarters, where he was placed under arrest.  The defendant was released on his own recognizance and is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on June 3, 2021 at 6:00 pm.
