Yorktown Police ID Second Victim Of Sunday's Fatal Crash

Both victims were Mahopac residents.

YORKTOWN, NY — Yorktown police have identified the woman killed on Route 6N Sunday in a tw0-car crash that killed both drivers.

Denise Ryan of Mahopac was southbound driving a Honda Accord when the crash occurred just before 6 p.m., police said. The 56-year-old was transported by ambulance to the Westchester Medical Center, where she died of injuries sustained in the crash.

Police had already identified Michael Moore, who was driving north in a Lexus when the two cars collided just south of the border between Putnam and Westchester counties. The 50-year-old Mahopac resident, an officer with the Putnam County Sheriff's Department, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Yorktown Police Department Accident Investigation Unit is probing the cause of the crash with assistance from the Westchester County Department of Public Safety Accident Investigation Unit.
