Yorktown Woman Accused Of Punching Someone In The Face
A judge issued a temporary order of protection on behalf of the victim, police said.
YORKTOWN, NY — A 68-year-old Yorktown woman was accused of punching someone in the face after an argument.
The Yorktown Police Department said Bennetta Vieira, 68, of Yorktown Heights, was charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.
Police said, around 5 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a domestic incident at a Yorktown residence.

The investigation found that Vieira used her fist to punch someone in the face, causing pain and injuries, according to the authorities.
She was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court, where a judge issued a temporary order of protection on behalf of the victim.

Vieira was released on her own recognizance and is due back in court Thursday.
