Yorktown's Halloween Parade and Carnival, sponsored by Yorktown Lions Club and Yorktown Recreation Department, was held on Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Jack DeVito track and field.

Approximately 2,000 participants marched in this year Halloween parade, which started at Rexalls Drug Store and finished at the Yorktown Community and Cultural Center. Once at the field, children participated in free games and activities, bouncy rides, pumpkin patch and a hay ride. Each child received a candy bag donated by Rexall’s Drug Store, a participation ribbon donated by Lions Club and a toy sponsored by Yorktown Recreation.
Free games and activities were sponsored by Alliance for Safe Kids, Grange Tractor Club, Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Hudson Valley Llamas, Mohegan Volunteer Ambulance Corp, Police Benevolent Association, SPARK, Support Connection, Yorktown Leos, Yorktown Recreation and Yorktown Volunteer Ambulance Corp.
