5 Davidson Runners Finish Boston Marathon

DAVIDSON, NC -- More than 27,000 runners competed in the Boston Marathon April 17, and five of them were from Davidson.

Marathon entries for Mason Lin, John Ashcraft Jr., Robert Berini, Heloise Hedlund and Mike Natusch all listed Davidson as their hometown. Here’s a look at how they finished and how they compared with others in their age and gender group.

Race organizers reported that citizens of 99 countries participated in Monday’s race. Of the 27,221 racers that started the marathon, 97 percent finished.
