Assault On A Female, Larceny: Crimes Reported In Davidson

Davidson police issued more than a dozen tickets to drivers for expired tags. Here's a run down of crimes and citations reported in town.

DAVIDSON, NC — Police in Davidson cited nearly three dozen drivers this week for infractions such as expired tags, speeding and for not wearing a seatbelt, according to the most recent police blotter.

Police made no arrests in Davidson last week.

Here are the crimes reported to DPD May 4 through May 10, 2021:

  • May 5 — Assault on a female, Potts Street
  • May 7 — Larceny (felony), Damage to personal property, Jetton Street
  • May 8 — False pretense, Jetton Street

DPD officers issued citations including the following charges May 4 through May 10, 2021:

  • Expired tag — 14
  • Speeding — 6
  • Seatbelt violation — 5
  • Expired inspection — 4
  • No operators license — 2
  • Failure to reduce speed to avoid collision — 1
  • DWLR/ Use Foreign License while DWLR — 1
