Block & Grinder Set To Close Langtree, Cotswold locations

DAVIDSON, NC -- Block & Grinder, a meat-centric farm-to-table restaurant that uses locally sourced products, is set to close its Langtree and Cotswold locations, The Charlotte Observer reports.

The last day for both locations will be Thursday, April 13, executive chef Ben Philpott told the newspaper.

Philpott cited finances were a reason for the closure, including the cost of rent and locally sourced meat, as well as customer reluctance to pay for it. About 60 people will lose their jobs as a result of the restaurant closures, he said.
