Bonjour Y’all Bakery Closes Its Doors In Davidson

In a heartfelt note left for customers, the bakery on Main Street in Davidson announced its abrupt closing.

DAVIDSON, NC — After less than a year in operation, Davidson’s Bonjour Y’all bakery is now closed, the owner has announced.

The bakery, which described itself as “French comfort, Southern nostalgic,” is located at 107 North Main Street in Davidson.

“It is with a very heavy heart that we are regrettably having to close our doors,” Bonjour Y’all owner Tara Ragan wrote in a note taped up to glass for customers. “I have given everything that I can to try to find a chef that can lead us and is as passionate and committed to my beloved community as I am. Unfortunately, we are at the end of that road. I have incredibly grateful to my tiny little team, our customers, fellow businesses and the Town of Davidson for all the support and kindness over the last nearly two years.”

The bakery opened in August 2019 following an earlier iteration by Ragan in January 2019, called Geateau on Main. The bakery was rebranded Bonjour Y’all at the time to coincide with the addition of Justin Burke-Sampson, former pastry chef for Kindred and Hello, Sailor, as a co-owner.
