Davidson Police Identify Woman Hit, Killed On Main Street
Police released the identity of the 64-year-old woman who died from her injuries after she was struck by a vehicle Thursday afternoon.
DAVIDSON, NC — Davidson police identified a pedestrian struck and killed on Main Street near CVS drugstore Thursday afternoon.
The June 17 incident occurred around 1 p.m. on Main Street near the intersections of Chairman Blake Lane and South Street.
Suzanne Younts, 64, died on the scene from her injuries, the Town of Davidson said.

Thursday evening, the Davidson Police Department made an appeal for witnesses of the accident to call the department.

For several hours, authorities shut down Main Street to traffic from Jackson Street to Concord Road for accident reconstruction. DPD and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol are conducting an investigation, the town said. Additional assistance was provided by the Cornelius and Huntersville police departments.
