Davidson Police Issue Dozens Of Citations On These Charges
Four people were arrested in Davidson this week. Here's the latest rundown of crime reported around town.
DAVIDSON, NC — Davidson police issued dozens of tickets this week, including nearly 30 citations for speeding or expired vehicle tags. Three cases of assault were also reported to police, according to Davidson Police Department.
DPD made four arrests last week:
- Samuel Michael Zajac, 19, was arrested March 27 on Harbour Place Drive, charged with DWI/ driving after consuming under 21
- Karen Christina Griffin, 38, was arrested March 27 on Griffith Street, charged with possession with intent to sale or deliver methamphetamine, et al.
- Lucas Samuel Yanetsko, 29, was arrested March 29 on North Main Street, charged with assault on a female and 2nd degree kidnapping
- Phillip Christopher Weise, 33, was arrested March 29 on Davidson-Concord Road, charged with warrants for arrest in Mecklenburg County

- March 27 — Driving while impaired, Harbour Place Drive
- March 27 — Possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, Griffith Street
- March 29 — Assault on a female, 2nd degree kidnapping, North Main Street
DPD officers issued citations including the following charges between March 23 - March 29, 2021:
- Speeding — 14
- Expired tag — 14
- Expired inspection — 8
- Improper passing — 1
- No operator's license — 3
- Red light violation — 2
- Seat belt violation — 2
- Open container of alcohol — 1
- Display fictitious tag — 1
