Davidson Wine Company To Open Friday At Depot Street Location
The new wine shop in Downtown Davidson will offer custom wines, wine tastings, bottling parties, custom labels and more.
DAVIDSON, NC — Davidson Wine Company will open its doors in downtown Davidson Friday, offering custom wines, wine tastings and bottling parties, according to the company.
The new wine shop is owned by Lindsey Williams, who launched the business “out of the desire to bring affordable and locally made wine options to the Town,” according to the company’s website. Originally from Ohio, Williams lives in Davidson with her husband Aerik and son Max.
One of the features of the store will be a Gold Level Wine Club, where for $45 a month, members receive a bottle of premium wine of their choice, a bottle of fruit wine, as well as discounts, free wine tastings and access to events.

Customers will also have opportunity to become a winemaker, according to the store’s site.
“Our process is no different than any other quality winery, however, like many wineries, we don’t grow our own grapes,” the company said. “Instead, we buy quality crushed grapes (‘grape must’) from the finest award-winning vineyards around the world. Such regions include; California, France, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Chile, Argentina, Spain and South Africa.”

With staff assistance, customers can create their own private vintage of wine, which will then be bottled, corked and labeled in a batch that yields more than two dozen bottles.
Davidson Wine Company’s grand opening is Friday, Aug. 2 from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. The shop is located at 121 Depot Street in Davidson.
