Free Cone Day: How To Get One At Davidson's Ben & Jerry's

DAVIDSON, NC — Perhaps the only thing better than ice cream is free ice cream. Ben & Jerry’s is offering just that at its Davidson scoop shop on Free Cone Day, set for April 9.

For the past 40 years, Ben & Jerry’s has offered customers free ice cream on a special day once a year as a way to say thank you. This year, the company expects to give away more than a million scoops.

"We love getting involved with and giving back to our communities. That’s why we’re partnering with Davidson Life Line to raise awareness and support for supporting suicide prevention and mental health awareness in our community," said Karen Toney, manager of Ben & Jerry’s of Davidson.

In Davidson, you can claim your free scoop on Tuesday, April 9 from noon until 8 p.m. at the shop located at 202 South Main Street.
