Kindred’s Kitchen Re-Inspected: Here’s What Was Found
The James Beard-nominated restaurant's health score was recently dropped to a "B." Here's what a re-inspection of the kitchen found.

DAVIDSON, NC — Kindred Restaurant has an A-grade health rating. The news comes two weeks following a kitchen inspection that saw the health score at the nationally renowned and James Beard-nominated eatery drop to a “B.”
Kindred was one of five Charlotte-area restaurants to drop a grade following kitchen inspections in late December, according to Mecklenburg County health officials. A Dec. 26 inspection at Kindred found an employee in the kitchen without a beard guard, numerous food items held at improper temperatures, dishwashers in the kitchen and bar without required sanitizer, and an employee touching ready-to-eat food without gloves.
“The Kindred team has taken the appropriate steps to immediately restore the small errors that were reported in the December health inspection and they are excited to share their re-inspection today resulted in a 100 rating,” spokesperson Ashley Miller told Patch.
