Stolen Vehicle, Identity Fraud In Davidson: Crime Report

DAVIDSON, NC — A vehicle was reported stolen this week in Davidson, according to police. Officers also issued nearly three dozen tickets to drivers for charges that included speeding, expired tags, and expired inspections, according to the most recent Davidson Police Department blotter.

DPD made one arrest last week. Audley Curtis Sinclair, 45, was arrested March 10 on Davidson-Concord Road and charged with a warrant for arrest issued in Mecklenburg County.

Here are the crimes reported to DPD between March 9 - March 15, 2021:

• March 9 — Financial identity fraud, Pine Road
• March 10 — Breaking & entering (misdemeanor), Pine Road
• March 10 — Larceny (misdemeanor), Park Avenue
• March 11 — Larceny of auto, Lakeview Avenue
• March 12 — High & Run Property damage, Interstate 77 at Griffith Street
• March 12 — Possession drug paraphernalia, Potts Street
• March 15 — Larceny (misdemeanor), North Main Street
• March 15 — Financial identity fraud, Harper Lee Street

• No operator's license — 2
• Hit & Run Property Damage — 1
• Improper passing — 1
• Driving while license revoked — 1
• Driving with no insurance — 1
• Expired operator's license — 1
