Are you traveling this holiday? If so, don't post details about it on social media beforehand, police said.
DAVIDSON, NC — Davidson officers are increasing their patrols through town following an increase in reported thefts. Many of the reported crimes, however, were could have been avoided, according to police.
"Police want to make residents aware that recently, Davidson and surrounding communities have experienced increased theft from homes and vehicles," Davidson Police Department said Wednesday. "Many of these crimes are preventable if we establish a daily routine of locking our homes, vehicles, and sheds. Especially during the holiday season, thieves are targeting unlocked vehicles and removing valuables left inside."
