Two Break-Ins Reported On South Street: Davidson Police Blotter
A vehicle break-in was reported on Faust Street and a theft on Beaty Street. Here's a rundown of crimes around Davidson this week.
DAVIDSON, NC — Davidson Police nabbed at least 10 drivers in town with expired vehicle tags and more than a dozen for speeding this week. At least six crimes were reported to police this week, including two break-ins on South Street, according to the most recent DPD blotter.
Davidson Police made one arrest last week. Edwin Ernesto Bautista, 25, was arrested Jan. 27 on Lake Cornelius Boulevard and charged with a warrant for arrest issued in Mecklenburg County.

- Jan. 26 — Breaking & entering (misdemeanor), South Street
- Jan. 27 — Breaking & entering (misdemeanor), South Street
- Jan. 28 — Credit card fraud, Griffith Street
- Jan. 30 — Breaking & entering automobile, larceny from auto, Faust Road
- Feb. 1 — Credit card fraud, Beaty Street
- Feb. 1 — Larceny (misdemeanor), Beaty Street
DPD officers issued the following citations between Jan. 26 through Feb. 1, 2021:
- Driving while license revoked — 2
- Expired tag — 10
- Expired inspection — 3
- Failure to display registration tag — 1
- No operator's license — 2
- Seatbelt violation — 3
- Speeding — 13
- Improper passing — 1
- No operator's insurance — 1
- Stop sign violation — 2
