Changes In Winter Weather Prediction For Lake Norman: Forecast
The temperature is going to drop Tuesday, as a cold front and rain move into the greater Charlotte-metro region.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Hopes of snow for the Charlotte and Lake Norman region looked like a longshot Tuesday morning, however a cold front moving into the region will bring rain, a major temperature drop and, consequently, potentially dangerous driving conditions.
“Very cold air will move in behind an arctic cold front,” the National Weather Service said in a hazardous weather outlook bulletin Tuesday morning. “Average temperatures may be nearly 15 degrees below normal Wednesday and Thursday which could cause significant impacts.”
The wet and cold temperatures could lead to treacherous driving conditions, according to local forecasters. With overnight lows expected to dip into the 20s, black ice could be a concern after the rain ends, according to WBTV meteorologist Al Conklin. Any accumulation of snow outside the mountain region is highly unlikely, he said.
