CMS To Hold Vaccination Event At Huntersville School This Weekend
The vaccination events offer free shots to anyone in the community ages 12 and up. Here's a list of participating CMS school locations.
HUNTERSVILLE, NC — In a bid to increase vaccination rates in the community and its student body, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is hosting seven vaccination events this weekend at schools throughout the county, including Hopewell High School in Huntersville.
The news comes more than a week after vaccine eligibility was officially expanded to include teens. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention approved the Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for 12- to 15-year-olds on May 12.
On Saturday, May 22, free vaccines will be offered at seven CMS school locations for anyone ages 12 and older, the school district said.

"This includes students, staff, parents and community members," CMS said.
