Convenience Store Armed Robbery Suspect Sought In Huntersville

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Huntersville police are asking the community for help identifying a man they say robbed a convenience store at gunpoint Sunday.

According to Huntersville Police Department, the April 25 incident occurred at the Fast Track convenience store, located at 502 Gilead Road.

The suspect picked up a package of Big Red chewing gum and approached the cashier, then pulled out a gun when the cashier opened the cash drawer. He then jumped the counter and stole an undisclosed amount of money from the register before fleeing, HPD said.

The suspect was driving a dark color sport utility vehicle, and appeared to have approached the businesses by driving west on Huntersville-Concord Road to Gilead Road before the robbery, HPD said.
